Distribution and Wholesaling of pharmaceuticals and associated services
The distribution held by associated pharmacists must be strengthened in order to embody the only alternative in front of the vertical integration of pharmacies by non-pharmacist investors.
Since its foundation in 1999, SECOF organizes the networking of cooperative groups and the sharing of their know-how. It’s also a communication platform of exchanges for the directors of the European cooperatives of pharmacists.

Promotion of an independent pharmacist-entrepreneur
SECOF’s mission is to defend and promote the pharmacists as a must in public healthcare.

Representation
The objective is to carry weight in the European orientations as regards the distribution of pharmaceuticals.

Pharmacists provide many services to European citizens. As competent and available professionals, they orient and advise their patients, making safe and secure the access to the medicines.

The place legitimately occupied by independent pharmacists is now questioned. Doctrinal deregulations or financial craving for the health sector is threatening.
In this context, cooperatives make it possible for their members to transform the anticipated evolutions into opportunities thanks to their common means.
For the independent pharmacists, their cooperative is a common dynamics in aid of their individual development.
